Switching between tabs is easier when an online notepad sits in the browser next to your work. This one is free and needs no login or installation, so a snippet, a to-do list or a paragraph of a draft can be pasted in within seconds. Autosave saves your text every second. Spellcheck relies on the browser, and find and replace handles quick edits. Keyboard shortcuts cover save, print, find and undo. Everything can be downloaded as a .txt file, or printed and exported as a PDF outside the browser.
